Build an as-of offer inventory that keeps carrier quote versions, documented offer deadlines and unresolved supersession evidence visible.
Review quote expiry through a dated offer inventory with explicit versions. Keep documented offer deadlines separate from proposed policy term dates, and retain earlier versions even when a reviewed successor becomes current. This helps identify which offer evidence needs attention without turning every revised quote into another sales opportunity.
Salesforce's insurance quote versioning documentation describes creating and comparing versions. The reporting method below uses the available version evidence rather than assuming every later upload automatically supersedes every earlier offer.
Use one client need and decision cycle as the opportunity layer, one carrier offer lineage underneath it, and one record per quote version. Distinguish parallel carrier offers from revisions of the same offer. Preserve source quote IDs and parent-version relations.
Inputs include need-cycle key, carrier, product scope, quote key, version key, issue time, upload time, documented supersession relation, source status, offer-valid-until evidence, currency and comparable premium basis. Record the snapshot time zone and extraction time.
The quote-to-bind funnel owns need-cycle conversion. This article owns the as-of inventory of offer evidence, so version counts should not be reused as its conversion denominator.
Verify the meaning of each source date with the agency and source documentation. Offer validity, proposed coverage start, policy term end and document upload date can all coexist. A field named “expiration” needs interpretation; its name alone does not prove it is an offer deadline.
For a documented date-only offer deadline, state the cutoff convention approved for this report. If the actual deadline requires a time zone or time of day that is missing, retain that uncertainty. Do not create midnight expiry timestamps to make a countdown appear precise.
Classifications can include reviewed current with known future deadline, reviewed current with deadline passed, superseded, withdrawn and current status or deadline unknown. These are reporting evidence statuses, not conclusions about legal availability or coverage.
This synthetic inventory is reviewed at the end of October 6, 2026, Eastern time. Each displayed deadline is a documented offer-valid-until date interpreted through an illustrative end-of-day convention. Premiums are USD on the same stated basis within each lineage.
| DEMO lineage/version | Issued | Offer deadline | Recorded relation | Quoted premium |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| A/v1 | Oct. 1 | Oct. 5 | Superseded by A/v2 | $12,000 |
| A/v2 | Oct. 3 | Oct. 10 | Reviewed current | $12,600 |
| B/v1 | Oct. 2 | Oct. 4 | Reviewed current | $8,000 |
| C/v1 | Oct. 4 | Unknown | Reviewed current; deadline unknown | $9,000 |
There are four version records, three offer lineages and one superseded version. Among the three reviewed current offers, one has a future documented deadline, one has a passed documented deadline and one has an unknown deadline. Those three evidence states reconcile to three current offers.
A's premium increases by $600, or 5%, from v1 to v2. The report cannot call this a comparable rate increase without reviewing terms and exposure. The decision is to review B's current offer evidence with the responsible staff, obtain C's deadline and retain A/v1 as history rather than presenting it as another current option.
Record what changed: premium, limit, deductible, insured exposure, proposed effective date or conditions. Use renewal premium comparability checks when comparing terms. A dollar change alone does not show a price change on equivalent cover.
Repeated uploads should reconcile to the same version when evidence supports that identity. Unlinked versions remain an exception. A withdrawn quote should not return to the current inventory merely because its upload timestamp is later than another file.
An approaching deadline can prompt a review of missing information or recorded next steps. It does not justify choosing a carrier, promising acceptance, determining whether coverage exists or treating the offer as legally available after a recorded date.
Quote turnaround analysis measures submission-to-response timing. That completed-process clock is different from the as-of remaining offer evidence in this inventory.
Begin with one product scope and a bounded set of decision cycles. Reconcile current offers, versions, unknown dates and supersession links. Check a sample of source documents with authorized agency staff before interpreting the status labels.
The insurance software evaluation guide sets the broader buyer questions. Contact Covirage with the source version and date fields to discuss a scoped quote-evidence review.
No. Upload order can differ from issue order, and a later file may be a duplicate or a parallel offer. Use reviewed version and supersession evidence.
No. Map the documented offer-validity field separately from policy term dates. A missing offer deadline stays unknown rather than becoming the policy expiration date.
