Active, defined

A login or a completed activity in the term, at a stated threshold, the same for every institution.

Site licenses

No seat count: enrollment as the denominator, labeled.

How it is computed

Active users in the period divided by licenses purchased, per program and institution, from the license register joined to usage.

Example

A university bought 5,000 seats. 1,750 were active in term: 35 percent. Renewal is in seven months and the budget is set in three.

Where it goes wrong

Usage held by the product team and contracts by sales, so the division is never done per institution.
